Close to You: Music of the Carpenters
It's "Yesterday Once More" as the clean-cut, soft pop/rock music of the Carpenters is performed by singer/songwriter Lisa Rock and her six-piece band. It will be a memorable tribute evening filled with classic songs such as "We've Only Just Begun," "Rainy Days and Mondays," and many more!

Lecture: 'Ramble,' Walking and Visual Journaling
Mary Jones, professor of art and design at Grandview University, Des Moines, is a mixed-media artist, illustrator and printmaker who explores the creative potential of physically engaging with one's environment. She will discuss how walking well-trodden paths is like remembering in layers, and how this process of remembering is similar to the layers in her prints.

Walk-in Argentine Tango
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better. From 5-7pm, the dance floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie and working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.
