While on a field trip to the White House students magically encounter our most famous founding father, who leads them on a fun-filled adventure that helps them all discover the true portrait of America.
Concert: Bells of Iowa State
"Bells of Iowa State" gala anniversary concert, celebrating the 120th anniversary of the Stanton Memorial Carillon, the 65th anniversary of the Stanton Memorial Carillon Foundation, and the 50th birthday of Stephens Auditorium. The campanile-carillon model will be unveiled and dedicated.
Argentine Tango Lessons
Valerie Williams This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with different partners for practice. From 5-7pm, the floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie, and for working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.

Reception: ReACT exhibition opening
Consider ideas of intergenerational relationships and family in the newest ReACT exhibition, "Connections and Intersections: People, Place and Time," focused on the stages of life and aging. Jennifer Margrett, faculty guest curator and director of the ISU gerontology program, worked with a multi-age panel to select the art and offer initial reactions. Margrett will deliver brief remarks.

Percussion Ensemble is under the direction of Jonathan Sharp.
Open Mic Night
Open Mic Night gives students the chance to show off their talents to fellow peers. Many perform as musicians, comedians, and poets. Enjoy a night full of talented Iowa State Students. (Sign Up starts at 7:30 p.m. until all spots are filled)

As they encounter Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln, Dolley Madison, and other famous White House residents, together they all learn what is the true portrait of America.

Concert: ISU Statesmen
The Iowa Statesmen, one of the region's leading men's choirs, was founded by James Rodde in 2000. The ensemble specializes in the performance of traditional and contemporary male chorus literature.
Curator Talk: Iowa and Contemporary Pottery
"Timeless: Iowa and Contemporary Pottery," Adrienne Gennett, associate curator, University Museums. From large scale ceramic sculptures to the smallest of vessels, the "Iowa and Contemporary Pottery" exhibit will highlight a range of artistic expression in pottery. Gennett will discuss the exhibition and recent acquisitions to the ceramics collection.

Members of the Ames Piano Quartet include Boro Martinic-Jercic, violin; George Work, cello; and Mei-Hsuan Huang, piano.
