Craft of the Month: Photo Transfers
Bring in a photocopy of your favorite 5" x 7" photo and transfer that image onto a canvas. Make it look modern with white borders, or give it a vintage look with some paint and scuffing.

Embracing the Arts and Crafts Movement in the Midwest
The Arts and Crafts movement began in England in the mid-19th century and crossed the Atlantic to America in the late 19th and early 20th century, where it would evolve into a uniquely American style of design which became a hallmark of that time. This tour will examine the history of the style and how the Farm House Museum has been recently renovated to better depict the style of this moment in time at Iowa State.

Carillon Superhighway I-35: Performing Arts Productions over Advanced Network
Three speakers will talk about an upcoming collaborative performance between ISU's Stanton Memorial Carillon and performing arts groups outside the state of Iowa. Like a 2002 "Star Bells" performance, this project will take place simultaneously in two venues with two live audiences. Speakers include Chad Jacobson, recording engineer and systems analyst; Jeffrey Preter, Professor Emeritus of music; and Tin-Shi Tam, Cownie Professor of Music.
