Mary Comerio, a professor of the Graduate School at the University of California, Berkeley, is an internationally recognized expert on disaster recovery and resilience. She will talk about her research into the costs and benefits of seismic rehabilitation, post-disaster recovery and reconstruction and loss modeling.

"Can I Read That? Free Access to Research Online," a collaborative workshop offered by the University Library and Ames Public Library. It will focus on ways the Ames community can freely access data and research articles for information about medical procedures, agriculture and more though open access publications.
