Assembled: Metal, Clay, Fiber, Wood & Mixed Media Student Exhibit Reception
Assembled is a juried exhibition showcasing mixed media and three dimensional artworks by Iowa State students. The show is open for any and all Iowa State students to enter. The drop off date for submissions is Sunday, February 5th from 12pm - 3pm. The reception will be held on Tuesday, February 21st at 7pm. There will be a showing of the documentary "Waste Land" following the reception.
Documentary: "Waste Land"
New York artist Vik Muniz depicts an emotional journey to his native Brazil to Jardim Gramacho, the world's largest landfill on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro. There he photographs and collaborates with the brilliant "catadores," pickers of recyclable materials, who live and work in the landfills. These inspiring characters reveal both the dignity and despair of the catadores as they begin to re-imagine their lives. All are invited to attend.

SUB Music: Abandon Kansas

Varieties Finals
Varieties has been showcasing the talent of Iowa State students for more than 80 years. Performances consist of 18-20 minute "mini-musicals" that are performed with original lyrics and choreography. Shorter acts, called vignettes, perform as well. A vignette consists of any talent that a student may have, from belly dancing to stand-up comedy. In this way, Varieties serves as Iowa State University's student talent show!
Dance social
Free dance social hosted by the ISU Ballroom Dance Club. Singles welcome. Dress is casual, however indoor shoes or socks must be worn.
ISU Theatre production of "To Kill a Mockingbird"
Atticus Finch, a lawyer who is a widower, tries to raise his two young children to have a code of honorable behavior within the social fabric of a small town in Alabama in the mid-1930's. When a young black man is unfairly accused of accosting a white woman and Atticus serves as his lawyer, serious issues of racial inequality violently surface within the community. Winner of a Pulitzer Prize.
