Zendoodle Workshop
Do you scribble patterns on notepads or junk mail? Does it relax you to doodle during class or in meetings? If so, you are already on your way to creating artful meditation. Whether you are new to this art form or you've been doing it for years, we will explore a few structured methods so you can begin creating beautiful patterns anytime, anywhere, to achieve relaxation and mindfulness, or as an entry point to a larger work of art.
Argentine Tango
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better. From 5-7pm the dance floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie and working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.

Studies in Creativity Student Juried Art Exhibit Submission
ISU students of all majors are invited to enter up to 3 pieces of artwork to be considered for the Studies in Creativity Exhibit which will be on display October 23-December 9 at the MU.
Enameling Class
Enameling (using heat to fuse powdered glass to metal) creates a fabulous splash of color for jewelry. Using a torch and a few simple tools you will enamel on flat metal. Combine your components to make multi-dangle earrings in brilliant colors, and have enough discs left over for future jewelry projects.
Re-Upholstery Class
Fix up an old stool or simple chair and customize it for your space. Dan will work with students on how to deconstruct and then reconstruct your piece including choosing the correct fabric. Note this is a very basic class - no sofas, armchairs, etc.
Basketweaving Class
Weave a basket that can hang on the wall or on a door. Catch your mail, your keys, or other items you need a special place for. This basket will incorporate reed, cane and seasonal decorations.

Over the years, they've become a perpetually touring band playing with artists like 311, Rebelution, Slighty Stoopid, Matisyahu, The Wailers and many more. A Virtual Reconstruction of Qumran and the Dead Sea Scrolls
Robert Cargill, an assistant professor of Classics and religious studies at the University of Iowa, will discuss how recent advances in the fields of archaeology and the digital humanities have enabled scholars to create digital reconstructions of archaeological remains at Qumran, the site associated with the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Tyler Hilton released his debut album, The Tracks of Tyler Hilton, the same year of his acting debut as Chris Keller on the 2nd season of One Tree Hill. SOAR: It's For the Birds
Meet a kestrel bird and put your crafting skills to use! Help out wildlife rehabilitators and learn about some of Iowa's coolest birds while making leather and nylon jesses and other items used for SOAR's Education Ambassadors.
