Lucid: Artist Talk with Louise Fisher
Iowa-based interdisciplinary artist Louise Fisher works in the expanded field of print, using methods of layering, impressing and repetition for their literal and visual enactment of time and the body. She will give a public talk in conjunction with "Lucid," a solo exhibition of her work on display in the College of Design's Gallery 181.
Lecture: What Responsibility Do Architects Have to Create a More Just World?
Lori Brown is a professor of architecture at Syracuse University and cofounder of ArchiteXX, a group working to raise awareness of women in architecture, create support and mentorship networks and take design actions to broaden the exposure of architecture in the world. She focuses on relationships between architecture and social justice issues with particular emphasis on gender and its impact on spatial relationships.

Reception and Artist's Talk: G00nD0ck Practice by Christian D'Cruz
Reception and artist's talk for a solo exhibition by Christian D'Cruz, senior in graphic design, on display Feb. 10-14 in Gallery 181. The show includes mixed-media paintings, experiential monitor displays, a mural and projections created in 2019-2020, as well as a collaborative painting with renowned artist and ISU alumnus Chris Vance (BFA 2000 Visual Studies).

Design and the Green New Deal
Billy Fleming, the Wilks Family Director of the Ian L. McHarg Center for Urbanism and Ecology at the University of Pennsylvania and a senior fellow with Data for Progress, will present the 2020 Richard F. Hansen Lecture in Architecture. He will focus on the ways in which a national climate plan like the Green New Deal will be understood by most people through the buildings, landscapes, infrastructures and public works agenda it inspires.
