Cancel Registration Deadline for Fall
Last day to cancel registration on AccessPlus for fall to avoid tuition assessment. All courses must be dropped on AccessPlus by 11 p.m.

Reiman Gardens: CoHorts Plant Sale
Hardy Iowa-grown perennials and an expanded selection of house plants will be available. There will be door prizes, gift shop sidewalk sale and snacks and beverages available for purchase. Sale starts Aug. 20; sale proceeds will directly benefit Reiman Gardens.

Welcome Reception and Christian Petersen Design Award
Annual reception celebrating the new academic year in the College of Design includes presentation of the 2011 Christian Petersen Design Award to ISU landscape architecture alumnus Ken Smith. Program begins at 6:45 p.m. with remarks by President Geoffroy, Dean Luis Rico-Gutierrez, and Smith.

Watercolors in the Garden: The figure in the landscape
Join Jo Myers-Walker of the Left Bank Studio in Gilbert, Iowa as she teaches a series of ten classes on watercolors while being inspired by the surrounding gardens. Classes will focus on the figure in the landscape taking inspiration from tree and bonsai. Participants will get to showcase their art during the Bonsai Show on Saturday, October 8th. All skill levels welcome.

Open house: OLLI at ISU
Instructors for the fall classes will be available to answer questions about their classes. OLLI classes are open to anyone 50 and older. Class registrations and memberships can be submitted at the open house. Memberships cost $25 per year, and class fees vary.
