Training: "How to Write a P&S Position Description"
University human resources is offering training on "How to Write a Professional and Scientific Position Description" in conjunction with the new PeopleAdmin 7 system training. Anyone who writes or assists with writing position descriptions is encouraged to attend. Training is offered weekly beginning Aug. 26 through Nov. 24. To register, go to AccessPlus (Employee tab > UHR Training) and choose the class you wish to attend.

Guided Tour: Reiman Gardens
Looking for something fun & educational for your family to do the day after Thanksgiving? Follow trained guides as they show you caterpillars, chrysalides & cocoons, & hundreds of native & tropical butterflies. Maybe you'll even see some butterflies as they emerge! Do all of this while learning about plant & insect life cycles, & get a behind-the-scenes look at the tropical plants & the new holiday display in the Hughes Conservatory.

Argentine Tango
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better. From 5-7pm the dance floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie and working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.

Winterfest: Clothing drive
Donations will go to the Ames Emergency Residence Project. Preferred donations include hats, socks and gloves. Drop-off locations include MWL Hall Desk, UDCC mail room, Wallace-Wilson Hall Desk, Lebaron Hall and Carver Hall. The drive runs Monday through Friday, Dec. 1-5.
