Last Day! Sugar Skulls Craft for Latinx Heritage Month
Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican holiday that celebrates and honors those who have passed. One tradition includes building ofrendas (altars) honoring the deceased using brightly colored skulls, marigolds, and possessions of the departed. Instead of sugar, our skulls are paper mache, but we invite you to decorate them in the spirit of Dia de los Muertos using paint, glitter.

An improv tour featuring the current cast members of the Emmy-nominated TV show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" Enjoy 90 minutes of hilarious improvised comedy and song all based on audience suggestions. Come join the homecoming celebration on Main Street in downtown Ames. Included in the parade will be the Cardinal Court, Iowa State representatives and dignitaries, student organizations, and many local businesses and organizations from the Ames area. This year's parade grand marshal is James Oliver, University Professor, Director of the Student Innovation Center and the Larry and Pam Pithan Professor of Mechanical Engineering.

Argentine Tango Lessons
Valerie Williams This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with different partners for practice. From 5-7pm, the floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie, and for working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.
Carillon Concert: Guest carillonneur Roy Kroezen
Roy Kroezen, carillonneur for the Centralia Carillon in Centrailia, Illinois, will perform on Iowa State's Stanton Memorial Carillon. The program includes arrangements of George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue and Sweelinck's Ballo del Granduca.
