Black and White Digital Photography
four week class on Wednesdays May 4, May 11, May 18, and May 25 from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. This course builds on the technical foundations of digital photography, expanding practical skills while also fostering your aesthetic awareness and vision as a photographer.
Intertwine Installation Opening Reception
Opening reception for installation of Intertwine, a project to yarn-bomb the facade of the ISU College of Design's Design on Main facility in downtown Ames. Over the past 9 months, hundreds of people from across Iowa and throughout the US have submitted more than 1,000 1-ft.-sq. knit and crocheted panels that have been stitched together into a "giant quilt" to cover the front of the 130-year-old, two-story building May 13-June 1.

Denny Goodrich will be retiring after 42 years of service to the university. Denny began his career in 1973 at WOI-TV, became a video producer for the Instructional Technology Center and has been working for the last several years with Information Technology Services.

Mid Iowa Woodworkers Woodworking Show
The Mid-Iowa Woodcarvers return for their one-day show on Saturday, May 7! Guests will have the opportunity to view carving contest entries, watch carving demonstrations and participate in a hands-on lesson in whittling.
Plant sale
Plants for sale include perennials for sun and shade, herbs and vegetables, Iowa natives, woody plants including trees, shrubs and Buck roses, container annuals and hanging baskets. Sale continues Sunday.
