Masterworks Concert
This annual concert will feature the ISU Symphony Orchestra and the combined musical talents of four Iowa State choirs: the Iowa State Singers, Cantamus Women's Choir, Iowa Statesmen Men's Choir, and Lyrica Women's Choir. Conducted by Dr. James Rodde, Director of Choral Activities.
Concert: The American Chamber Players
The American Chamber Players were formed in 1985 by Miles Hoffman from a core group of artists of The Library of Congress Summer Chamber Festival. The ensemble performs repertoire ranging from familiar masterpieces to neglected gems to newly commissioned American works, and their fascinating and delightful programs with varied instrumental combinations have been as enthusiastically praised as their extraordinary, dynamic performances.

Women's Studies demonstration
"Speak Out! Act Up! Teach In!" A demonstration by the Women's Studies program to address the importance of gender diversity on the Iowa State campus. There will be talks, activities, displays and a musical performance by Strong Like Bear. The event is free and open to the public.

Auditions for "Sweeney Todd"
Prepare and memorize an aria, preferably in English and preferably from "Sweeney Todd". Choose a piece that shows your range and musicianship. Strong musicianship is a must! Nine main roles are available as well as a singing ensemble of approximately fifteen. An audition sign-up will be located outside of Mary Creswell's office, 221 Music. ISU Theatre stages this edgy and provocative production set in the 17th century, when women across England were being tried as witches. The feminist play explores religious hypocrisy and exploitation by following the lives of seven women.
Gilman Lecture
Hisashi Yamamoto, Arthur Holly Compton Distinguished Professor, University of Chicago, is the guest speaker for the 32nd annual Gilman Lecture. Yamamoto will discuss "Asymmetric synthesis based on acid catalysis." All are invited to attend.
