Learn to create colorful beads by heating and shaping glass with a torch - yes, we get to work with fire! Build your skills with step-by-step instruction, and see how the quality of your beads evolves. Use your vibrant pretties in your next jewelry project, or display them as tiny works of art.
Woodshop Orientation
Learn the fundamentals of woodworking equipment while creating a tool carrier. Leave class with knowledge of proper machinery use, and, most importantly, woodshop safety. Students may purchase the toolbox for $6 after class or we will use them for our Art Mart fundraiser. The orientation is required in order to use the woodshop on your own.

Social Justice Summit
The Social Justice Summit provides students with the opportunity to increase their awareness of inclusion issues and to develop action plans that will assist them in being agents of change on campus. Registration is free and open to ISU undergraduate and graduate students.

The Talbott Brothers are a Portland based duo composed of brothers Nick and Tyler Talbott. The Talbott Brothers are for fans of Nick Mulvey, Mumford & Sons, and The Strumbellas.

Walk-in Argentine Tango
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for better dancing. From 5-7pm, the floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie Williams, and for working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.

Metalworking for Jewelry Class
Begin your exploration of jewelry-making by learning techniques such as sawing, drilling, forming, chasing, annealing and riveting. Students will complete one or two projects out of sterling silver and copper depending on complexity. Pendants, earrings and bangle bracelets are just a few of the possibilities. Some people read a book to escape, others pound metal!

Learn basic skills including how to set up a small loom, creating shapes by decreasing and increasing warps, knotting, and incorporating wool roving and other textures. Finish a 13"x18" weaving in shades of cream and tan that will be ready to hang.
