Reiman Gardens' members only sale on Friday, May 10, 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Opens to the public on Saturday, May 11, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 12, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The Plant Sale Extravaganza will be held in Reiman Gardens' parking lot rain or shine.

Iowa songwriters Chris Myers and Fred Love will perform in Stephens Auditorium's listening room, an intimate setting with fantastic acoustics. Myers' sound is a fusion of folk, rock, pop, and soul. Love uses a direct blend of country, folk and blues. The Goldfinch Room provides great acoustics in an intimate setting for approximately 80 people.

This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for better dancing. From 5-7pm, the floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie Williams, and for working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.

Top Hat Certification Day is designed for those instructors who are either new to Top Hat or have experience using Top Hat in their classrooms, and who wish to learn how to implement core and advanced Top Hat functionalities in order to boost student engagement, participation and motivation.

The Office for Responsible Research, Office of the Attending Veterinarian and Laboratory Animal Resources are offering software training for researchers who submit IACUC or IBC protocols. Participants will learn how to navigate the new electronic protocol submission system, a-tune. Training topics will include creating and submitting a protocol, and, for animal users of LAR, how to order animals and manage animal records.

Brenda Lohman, College of Human Sciences associate dean for research and graduate education, and professor of human development and family studies, will become department chair in human development and family science at the University of Missouri on Aug. 1.

The show features brand-new stage production, astounding versatility and, as always, Derek's magnetic stage presence. Fans will journey through a true fusion of dance and music, as Derek explores styles ranging from ballroom and tap to salsa and hip-hop and everything in between.

Paul Kapke, an associate scientist in the Office of Biotechnology and manager of the Hybridoma Facility, is retiring May 31.
Sally Deters, coordinator of residence life in the department of residence, is retiring. A program will begin at 2:30 p.m.
The Alumni Association will honor six current or former ISU faculty or staff members with this annual award, launched in 2011 to give former ISU students a way to recognize faculty or staff who had a significant influence on them. A 5:30 p.m. reception with heavy appetizers and a cash car precedes the ceremony. Register online by May 10.
