If you know the basics of making soap from scratch using the cold-process method, join us in learning how to add artistry techniques. Learn and experiment with procedures such as swirl, wire, funnel, and embeds, and leave class with a pound of soap.

Learn to make fascinating beads that have the look of miniature glass paperweights.
A completely new style of taste, fashion, and life occurred from 1945 through the 1960s and nowhere was it more visible than in the design and decoration of the home. Collin Powell, graduate student in Interior Design, will use the current exhibition to revisit the ideological basis of this period that has grown in memory and popularity with today's designers and consumers.

For fans of: Oh Honey, The Lone Bellow, Penny and Sparrow Known for their harmony-laced take on alt-folk, The Hunts are a Chesapeake, Virginia-based band of seven siblings who've been playing music together almost their entire lives. Inspired by shared memories, The Hunts have created songs that capture heartache and wonder with a wide-eyed but wistful elegance.

Auditions for February 14-15, 2019 performances of The Vagina Monologues will be held Nov. 11 (3-4:30 p.m.); Nov. 14 11 a.m.- 1 p.m.; and Nov. 15 from 5-6:30 p.m. all at the Sloss House. No acting experience is necessary, and all people who lead their lives as womxn may audition. Scripts are available in advance at the Sloss House. Proceeds from the performances will be donated to the Ames shelter ACCESS and the National V-Day Spotlight Campaign.
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for better dancing. From 5-7pm, the floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie Williams, and for working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.
Nashville-based singer, songwriter and actor Tony Lucca is a soulful, acoustic pop vocalist.
