Training: "How to Write a P&S Position Description"
University human resources is offering training on "How to Write a Professional and Scientific Position Description" in conjunction with the new PeopleAdmin 7 system training. Anyone who writes or assists with writing position descriptions is encouraged to attend. Training is offered weekly beginning Aug. 26 through Nov. 24. To register, go to AccessPlus (Employee tab > UHR Training) and choose the class you wish to attend.
Beat Diabetes Walk
The Diabetic Education Club (DEC) is a new student club bringing diabetes awareness, education and support to ISU. The club is open to students, faculty, staff and community members. The short walk will begin inside the northeast door of Hoover, cross the skywalk to Howe, and loop back to Hoover. Information about the prevention of type 2 diabetes will be available along the route as well as prize drawings and healthy snacks.

Walk-In Craft: Upcycled Jewelry with Rhonda Scott
If you like color and fun, this is for you! Upcycle the beautiful artwork on vintage tins to create earrings or a pendant. You will learn how to safety cut, shape, and solder the metal. Drop in anytime during the evening but give yourself about an hour to complete the project.

Belly Dance Lessons
Learn basic belly dance movements and how to perform them in a variety of different ways by making specific choices about size and speed of motion. One or two moves will be explored each week and then put into short practice phrases.
