Home Voices Festival
Alumni of the Creative Writing and Environment program at Iowa State University to kick off the 2023 Pearl Hogrefe Visiting Writers Series. Invited alumni include Ana Hurtado (Ecuador), Cathleen Bascom (Kansas), Chris Wiewiora (Florida), and Tegan Swanson (Wisconsin). A book signing and reception will be held at Dog-Eared Books following the program.

Professional and Scientific Council seminar series
"Personalize Your Professional Development with LinkedIn and Workday Learning," Steve Couchman, University Human Resources. Finding time for professional development can be challenging. Conferences are often beneficial, but may be costly and require time away from the office. LinkedIn Learning offers a convenient, no-cost solution to create a custom Learning Path within Workday Learning.
Meeting: Faculty Senate
The Faculty Senate represents the general faculty of Iowa State and participates in shared governance of the University with the administration. Senate meetings are open to the public.

Opening reception: Fashion / Existence / Myth
Explore the "Fashion / Existence / Myth" exhibit, enjoy light snacks and listen to a short lecture at 4:30 p.m. The exhibit is curated by graduate students Zahra Falsafi and Amanda Ortiz-Pellot, and Kelly Reddy-Best, associate professor in apparel, events, and hospitality management.
The Center: Gender Expansive Social
Enjoy snacks and conversation with people that share your identity. Meet with one of the many lesser recognized genders (such as nonbinary, agender, genderfluid, and more).
Banquet: 25 Year Club
The 25 Year Club honors employees who have served the university for 25, 35, 45 or 50 consecutive years at this annual banquet. Social hour starts at 5 p.m., followed by dinner and the ceremony. Reservations are required.
