A Gathering of Waters: The Río Grande, Source to the Seas is a short documentary by Basia Irland focusing on the 1,875 miles of the Rio Grande and its importance to the hundreds of groups who rely on it. The project took 5 years to complete and explores the river's cultural, ecological, and environmental impact on the life of humans and wildlife. Please join us for a public viewing of Irland's documentary in the reACT Gallery.

By retelling the story of the "water prince," this lecture will remember one of the more colorful episodes in Iowa State's history and explore the tangled histories of oil, desalination, and climate change and adaptation in the Arabian Peninsula. This lecture is held in conjunction with the ReACT Gallery exhibition exploring water.
