Meeting: How to work with VRAC
The Virtual Reality Applications Center (VRAC) and Human Computer Interaction graduate program seek a wider range of faculty collaboration on grants and projects. This meeting is an informational session, and will include: · A discussion on how to collaborate with VRAC and HCI (30 min.) · A tour of the C6 and other facilities (45 min.) · Brief follow-up and networking on future grant solicitations (15 min.)

Lecture: Consumer Finance Research at the Federal Reserve Board
"Why Do They Do That? Lessons Learned from Consumer Finance Research at the Federal Reserve Board," Jeanne Hogarth, 2009-10 Hilton Chair visiting scholar. She will discuss her research on electronic banking, patterns of financial behavior, connections between knowledge and behavior in household financial management, and consumer information disclosure. A short reception in the Christian Peterson Art Museum will follow the presentation.

Newton is the farm manager of ISU's Bilsland Farm south of Luther in Boone County.
Retirement reception: Walter Hyde
Hyde, professor of veterinary diagnostic and production animal medicine, retires Sept. 25, after 38 years with the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory.
