Her poems have appeared in journals such as The New Yorker, Poetry, American Poetry Review, Granta, and five times in The Best American Poetry series. She is the recipient of fellowships from the Iowa Arts Council and the Milwaukee County Arts Fund. Along with teaching and writing, she is the proprietor of Saltlickers, a small spice-blend company.
