Presented by Doug Jacobson, University Professor of electrical and computer engineering and director of the ISU Information Assurance Center. This lecture portion of ISU Osborn Club's monthly gathering is free and open to the public.

This presentation will focus on computer and network forensics and the impact of digital evidence on crime fighting. Topics will include computer forensics, evidence retrieval, electronic information discovery, attack traceback, e-mail traceback network security issues, current issues that make it difficult to conduct digital forensics and why TV does not represent and accurate view of digital forensics. Examples of computer crimes and computer evidence will be presented, along with discussion about providing expert testimony.
