More than 3,000 athletes participate in Special Olympics Iowa's largest annual event. Competition includes aquatics, athletics (track & field), bocce, cycling, developmental events, roller skating, soccer and tennis. Athletes also enjoy Opening Ceremonies at Hilton Coliseum, a Celebration Dance, and activities and entertainment at the Olympic Village.

Thursday, May 20
9 a.m. - 6 p.m., Residence Hall Check In, commons area of Maple-Willow-Larch Residence Halls

Competition (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
Cycling - 9 a.m., Iowa State Center parking lot
Roller Skating - 9:45 a.m., Skate North, Des Moines
Tennis - 10 a.m., Forker Building courts
Soccer Skills - Begins at 10:30 a.m., field east of Maple-Willow-Larch
Soccer-Seven-A-Side - 10 a.m., fields east of Maple-Willow-Larch
Bocce - 10:30 a.m., Lied Recreation Athletic Center
Race Walk - 1 p.m., Lied Recreation Athletic Center
Young Athletes - 10 a.m. - noon, 175 Forker Building

4:15 - 6:30 p.m. Dinner, assigned residence hall dining centers
6:15 p.m., Parade line-up for Opening Ceremonies, Parking Lot C-2, south side of Hilton Coliseum
7 p.m. - 9 p.m., Opening Ceremonies, Hilton Coliseum

Friday, May 21
6:30 - 8:30 a.m., Breakfast, assigned residence hall dining centers
8 a.m., Coaches meeting (if inclement weather), M-W-L Commons
