ISU Wind Ensemble to Perform Concert with Tuba Virtuoso Patrick Sheridan. Dr. Michael Golemo, conductor

The Iowa State University Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Michael Golemo, will present a concert on Friday, March 25 at 7:30 pm in the Martha-Ellen Tye Recital Hall. Appearing as soloist will be internationally-renowned tuba virtuoso, Patrick Sheridan.



According to Michael Golemo, Director of Bands, "We are absolutely thrilled to have such a world-class artist with us for this concert. Pat Sheridan is an unbelievable musician, and we will be premiering a composition for solo tuba and band that Pat has dedicated to us. We are honored to be premiering this work, entitled Grappelling. This will be a very special concert."



Other selections to be performed include "Symphonic Songs for Band" by Robert Russell Bennett, "Estrellita" by Manuel Ponce, "More Cowbell" by Scott McAllister and "Flight of the Tuba Bee."
