Iowa State University Assistant Professor of Flute Sonja Giles will give a faculty recital on Sunday, Feb. 20.

The concert, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Martha-Ellen Tye Recital Hall at ISU.

Giles will be accompanied by fellow ISU faculty members Jodi Goble, vocal coach; Mary Creswell, professor of voice; George Work, professor of cello; and Greg Oakes, professor of clarinet.

The program will feature compositions that are vocal in nature[written in a wide variety of musical styles], including works by Alfredo Casella, Erwin Schulhoff, Camille Saint-Saëns and Maurice Ravel's Chansons madecasses.

Giles has traveled throughout the United States and abroad, performing as a featured soloist with the Kaliningrad Symphony Orchestra (Russia) and the Iowa State University Wind Ensemble (Belgium and Austria), as well as with her trio Dolce Veloce throughout a majority of the US.
