SHOP is a campus food pantry, launched by students for students, and opening Feb. 1 in 2616 Food Sciences. It was developed this fall by a committee of the Transfer and Major Change Learning Community in the food science and human nutrition department. Bring four cans of food to the open house and receive a free T-shirt.

Hours of operation initially will be 3-6 p.m. Tuesdays.

The SHOP will be run by student volunteers (as a new student organization) and stocked with donations.

This service will be anonymous; to use it, students will simply show their ID and receive food.
