The Professional Communication Assessment and Learning program for third-year veterinary students seeks volunteers to play the role of client and pet owner in a simulated clinical experience. This session will summarize the program and training for prospective "clients." To attend, contact Shelly Waller by June 24.

The client will describe the animal's symptoms and provide a medically relevant history about the animal. After the exam is complete, the client also provides constructive feedback for the student on their interactions.

P-CAL will be held twice this fall, Oct. 3, 5 and 7; and Nov. 28, 30 and Dec. 2 (noon-6 p.m. daily); qualified clients need to be available all three afternoons and an additional afternoon for training. University guidelines don't allow ISU employees to receive the $300 honorarium, but they are welcome to participate.
