Second hand stores are chock full of clothes with big potential if you know what you are looking for. Join Judith on a DIY field trip to Salvation Army and Goodwill to sift through the cast-offs and find gems that can be reconstructed into something modern and new.

Students will meet at the Workspace Saturday morning to make a game plan, go hunting for treasures together (bring some cash!) and end the day back at the MU to go over ideas for the sewing session. Wash your items Saturday night and bring them back with any other misfits from your own closet and get to work sewing and constructing on Sunday. You could combine two garments to make one, repurpose for accessories, or come up with your own ideas! Sewing machines will be provided as well as notions. This is an intermediate level class for those with basic sewing skills. Be the eco fashionista!
