New York artist Vik Muniz depicts an emotional journey to his native Brazil to Jardim Gramacho, the world's largest landfill on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro. There he photographs and collaborates with the brilliant "catadores," pickers of recyclable materials, who live and work in the landfills. These inspiring characters reveal both the dignity and despair of the catadores as they begin to re-imagine their lives. All are invited to attend.

Waste Land was the winner of numerous awards, including the Audience Award at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and the Human Rights Film Award at the Amnesty International Berlin Film Festival in 2010.
