Social at 2:30 p.m., program at 3:00 p.m. Dianne Bystrom will share her reflections on the 2012 presidential campaign to date, focusing on the media and the rhetoric of the candidates in responding to the issues that are shaping the election. She will talk about the 2011 Ames Straw Poll, the muddled results of the Iowa Caucus, the effects of the 20 Republican candidate debates, and the impact of the onslaught of television ads.
