Hunter Lovins is the president and founder of the Natural Capitalism Solutions and a leader in sustainable management. She consults with decision makers in business and government on such topics as globalization, energy policy, economic development and land management. Technology, Globalization & Culture Series and World Affairs Series.

Hunter Lovins's clients have included Royal Dutch Shell, Wal-mart, the Pentagon and the U.S. Department of Energy. She also served as an advisor to the Energy Minister of the Government of Afghanistan. She is the coauthor of nine books, including Natural Capitalism, Climate Capitalism and, most recently, The Way Out: Kick-starting Capitalism To Save Our Economic Ass.

The recipient of such honors as the Right Livelihood Award, Lindbergh Award and Leadership in Business, Hunter Lovins was named a TIME Magazine 2000 Hero of the Planet and in 2009 Newsweek dubbed her a "Green Business Icon." She developed the Economic Renewal Project and helped write many of its manuals on sustainable community economic development.

Lovins was a founding professor of business at Presidio Graduate School, one of the first accredited programs offering an MBA in Sustainable Management. Trained as a sociologist and lawyer, she is currently on the faculty at Bainbridge Graduate Institute. She is also chief insurgent of the Madrone Project, a nonprofit educational team that develops digital curricula on sustainability.
