Minneapolis-based Polica has been taking the indie scene by storm since its debut album release, Give You the Ghost.

The album has critics raving, from Rolling Stone
and Consequence of Sound to NPR and The Huffington
Post; and Justin Vernon of Bon Iver has called Polica "the
best band (he's) ever heard." Polica was founded in 2011
by Ryan Olson and Channy Leaneagh who had previously
collaborated in Gayngs. Rolling Stone's review of the
album said that Leaneagh's "focused, tender voice
cascades over dense fields of minor key electronics,
backed by funked-up bass and a swarm of percussion.
It's the sound of heartbreak and celebration happening
simultaneously." The Huffington Post review of Polica's
SXSW performance said that "Polica makes moody music
that will stick to your bones. This band is going to be huge."
