LINK is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that is supported solely by private donors. The mission is to redefine the North Korea crisis through creative storytelling, while providing emergencyrelief to North Korean refugees and pursuing an end to the human rights crisis. LiNK's work focuses on awareness through mobilizing the grassroots and telling these stories of hope and survival. They also meet with governments, NGOs and institutions to advocate for the North Korean people, while working directly with refugees through a network of shelters in China and Southeast Asia - protecting, educating and assisting them to eventually find freedom and empower them to live new lives. The identities of refugees and location of shelters are kept secret, as are the identities of our Protection Officers who work with them. They are the unsung heroes in the underground, often living in difficult conditions and challenging environments, they provide protection, assistance, education, hope and courage to the refugees.
