Learn everything a beginner needs to know including how to hold the yarn and hook properly, do the basic crochet stitches and manipulate those stitches for different looks and effects.

See how to read a pattern and how to choose appropriate yarn and hooks for projects. Find out what all those abbreviations mean in pattners as well as the definitions of frequently used crochet lingo. Learn chain stitches, a singles, doubles and treble crochet stitches as you make a different afghan square each week to practice. On the last week you'll learn how to join the squares to make an afghan.

Bring a J,K, or L Hook (L is larger than J; smaller hook = lighter weight yarn). Yarn provided.

Mondays from 6-7:30 for 3 weeks
