Statewide small and minority-owned business will be featured at this promotional items vendor show for department faculty and staff. Presentations on trademark licensing and purchasing also are planned. Registration for the event is requested (ssassman (at) iastate (dot) edu).

Promotional Item Vendor Show

When:
Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Where:
The vendor show will be held in the Memorial Union's Durham Great Hall (for vendor show) and Oak Room (for presentations).

Who:
All ISU departments (faculty and staff) are invited and encouraged to attend. Thirty licensed and nonlicensed vendors that are an Iowa small or minority-owned busines are invited.

Why:
To introduce ISU departments to Iowa based small or minority-owned promotional item vendors and to educate departments on the procedures for ordering promotional items. To educate non-licensed vendors on the procedures for becoming a licensed vendor, to educate all vendors on the process for departments ordering promotional items and, to introduce them to ISU departments.

Presentations:
(9:30-10:30 a.m. and 2:30-3:30 p.m.)
A presentation for ISU faculty and staff will be made by Leesha Zimmerman in the Trademark Licensing office and will provide departments information on the artwork approval process. Carole Custer from the Office of University Marketing will also present. The Purchasing Department will spend a few minutes explaining ISU's procurement process.

Prizes:
Departments will have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win prizes for their department. The prizes will be for a gift card which will be credit towards a purchase with a contracted vendor on cyBuy, the department can choose one vendor. Grand prize will be $200, second will be $150, and third will be $50.

Refreshments:
Refreshments will be provided throughout the day. Lunch will not be provided.
