Reiman Gardens is excited to unveil the "More than Meets the Iowa" 2013 theme year! Visit the Gardens on January 26-27 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for youth discovery stations showcasing the theme year as well as more information on upcoming theme year programs and events. January 26-27 will also be opening weekend for the Conservatory’s winter display called "Winds of Change". Discovery stations are on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Visit the Gift Shop for Iowa made merchandise and snacks to sample.
On Sunday, all children are admitted free and all adult and senior admissions will be donated to Story County’s Plant a Row for the Hungry.
Over the past nine years, Plant a Row for the Hungry volunteers have collected over 32,000 pounds of fresh produce from vendors at the North Grand Farmers’ Market, Reiman Gardens, Iowa State University Horticulture Research Farm, and home gardeners in the community. Reiman Gardens is proud to partner with this worthy organization and is looking forward to a successful 2013 growing season. Plant a Row volunteers and local agencies benefiting from Plant a Row for the Hungry will be at the Gardens to share more information.
