"It's a Girl" are three of the deadliest words in the world. This film tells the stories of abandoned and trafficked girls, of women who suffer extreme dowry-related violence, of mothers fighting to save their daughters' lives, and of other mothers who would kill for a son. Global experts and grassroots activists put the stories in context and advocate different paths towards change.
Joining the post-film discussion is Ruth Buckels, the statewide coordinator for the Achieving Maximum Potential program at Youth & Shelter Services, and Brittany, a human trafficking survivor.
The film is directed by Evan Grae Davis and produced by Andrew Brown, Shadowline Films.
