This program will focus on the intersections of identities through the lens of sexuality and gender. This program serves as a continuing education opportunity for all members of the Iowa State and Ames community to enhance understandings of the LGBTIQA community. It is a collaboration with Multicultural Student Affairs.

After attending this program participants will be able to:

1. Explain what is meant by intersections of student identities.

2. Describe the various impacts of intersecting identities on the experiences of LGBTIQA students at Iowa State University.

3. List some strategies for being an effective ally to students that embraces all their intersecting identities.
