Description: Safety, Community, & You explores the topic of personal safety as it relates to sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.
Learning Objectives:
Understand the O.O.D.A. cycle and how it relates to personal safety.
Distinguish between personal safety myths and facts.
Understand how to report crimes and the importance of doing so.
Identify the most common safety issues impacting the LGBTQIA community.
Have a general knowledge of resources available to students, staff, faculty, and visitors of ISU; especially for those that identify as LGBTQIA.
