Opening reception and awards presentation for the 33rd Art and Design Annual exhibition. Of the 144 pieces of artwork that were submitted by 87 College of Design students, 54 works by 45 students from graphic design and integrated studio arts were accepted into the show, which runs through Thursday, Nov. 21, in Gallery 181.

Jurors were Heather Johnson, director of the Octagon Center for the Arts, and Kate Corman, a senior graphic designer with August Home Publishing in Des Moines and president of AIGA Iowa. A majority of the work submitted and selected falls in the categories off drawing, painting, ceramic, metal, wood, posters, packaging design, and books on designers.
