The 2014 Iowa Local Food Conference features keynote speakers and workshops on the processing and marketing aspects of food-related businesses.

Keynote speaker is Lucie Amundsen, the marketing brainchild behind her family's pasture-raised chicken business, Locally Laid. Also presenting will be Bell Menner, USDA Rural Development State Director, on business opportunities in Iowa; and Kamyar Enshayan, who directs the Center for Energy and Environmental Education at the University of Northern Iowa. Workshop tracks are planned for food hubs, processing centers and marketing strategies. The conference is hosted by the Leopold Center and the Iowa Food System Working Group of Iowa State University Extension and Outreach
