The Heartland Marimba Festival takes place June 13-28 and the Academy is hosted on the Iowa State campus June 22-28.
This is a summer event that seeks to bring the marimba to a wide audience in central Iowa and the Midwest. Concerts feature a variety of professional artists and students. The academy offers a forum for aspiring marimba performers to learn about navigating a career as a performing artist.
