The United Nations Foundation is an organization created in 1998 by entrepreneur and philanthropist Ted Turner to connect people, ideas and resources with the United Nations. Ryan Hobert works on a variety of climate and energy initiatives, including the UN Secretary-General's Sustainable Energy for All initiative.
Student participants include Michael Czahor, Animal Science; Bernando del Campo, Mechanical Engineering; Rivka Fidel, Agronomy; Kelly Kalvelage, Human Computer Interaction. Engineering; and Abby Stanek, Agricultural Education. Gene Takle, director of the Iowa State Climate Science Program, will moderate.
