8:15-9:15 a.m., Financial Aid 101
New to campus? Need a refresher? This optional session will discuss different types of financial aid available to students, how financial aid is awarded, how students access financial aid, what financial aid information students can view in AccessPlus, etc.
9:15-10 a.m., Welcome and Opening Session
FAFSA/Federal Aid Updates (*Significant changes are coming to the 2017-18 FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid, which could impact when students apply for and are awarded aid.)
10:05-10:45 a.m., Breakout Sessions
-- Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
-- Understanding Student Options and Resources/Student Loan Education Office
10:55 a.m. - 12:10 p.m., Roundtable Discussions
Five 15-minute sessions will be offered centered around selected areas of interest. Participants will pick five different tables to visit from among the following:
-- Prospective Students and Financial Aid,
-- Scholarships
-- Enrollment (internships/co-op's, graduate/concurrent, half-time status, consortium, etc.)
-- Summer Financial Aid
-- Study Abroad
-- Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
-- Veterans/Military Benefits
-- Student Employment/Work-Study
-- Official/Unofficial Withdrawal from the University
-- Mixed Bag/Catch-all
