Recipient of the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award in 2012, Anthony appeared on "From the Top" as a Featured Alumni Performer. He served as the Principal Flute of the American Youth Symphony for the 2015-2016 season. At the Young Concert Artists 2016 International Auditions, Anthony received additional prizes, including the Saint Vincent College Concert Series Prize, the Ruth Laredo Award, the Lied Center of Kansas Prize, and the Michaels Award, which supports his New York debut through Young Concert Artists at Merkin Concert Hall. He received the further distinction of being the first YCA artist to win the inaugural LP Classics Debut Recording Prize, granting him a commercial recording.
In addition to performing, Mr. Trionfo is committed to community outreach, teaching through the Jumpstart program in LA. He was a Colburn School Teaching Fellow and has performed in masterclasses with Emmanuel Pahud and with Mimi Stillman and Paula Robison.
Mr. Trionfo studies at the Colburn Conservatory of Music, under the tutelage of James Walker. He graduated from the Interlochen Arts Academy, having studied with Nancy Stagnitta. He has performed concertos with the Interlochen Symphony Orchestra, the Colburn Symphony Orchestra, the "President's Own" Marine Band, and the Las Vegas Philharmonic. In 2013, Anthony was a first prize winner of the Alexander & Buono International Flute Competition and a winner of the National YoungArts Foundation Competition.
