In the Standard Model, the Higgs boson decays to invisible particles via H->ZZ->vvvv decay chain with a ~10^{-4} decay branching ratio. Meanwhile, several beyond the Standard Model theories, predict the coupling between Higgs boson to the invisible sectors, which can enhance the decay rate of the invisible Higgs boson. In these models, the Higgs boson becomes the bridge between the Standard Model particles and the hidden sectors, thus, these models are treated as the "Higgs Portal" models. Extending the Higgs sector, where the "portal" can be the Higgs-like scalars or vectors or axis-vectors, leads to the generic simplified dark matter models, which is widely used for dark matter searches in the LHC run-II analyses. This talk will present the search for the invisible decay of the Higgs boson using the ATLAS detectors and the interpretation of the results to the generic dark matter searches.
