In this talk, we will discuss some different light-front approaches to investigate the structure of the nucleon. In the first part of the talk, I will give an overview about the light-front holographic models as well as a light-front quark-diquark model inspired by AdS/QCD and show their application to study the various aspects of nucleon properties such as electromagnetic form factors, transverse densities, generalized parton distributions (GPDs), Wigner distributions etc.. In the second part of the talk, I will talk about the basis light-front quantization (BLFQ) which is a nonperturbative, first principles numerical approach for solving quantum field theory. Then, I will show some recent progress on the structure of proton in the BLFQ formalism.
