Create a cross stitch project inspired by the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Learn to read a pattern, get the hang of working with a needle and thread for stitching and leave with all the supplies (and the know-how!) to finish on your own.

Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican holiday for celebrating those who have passed. One tradition is decorating skulls made from molded sugar with bright colors, glitter and other adornments that honor a friend or family member. Drawings of Sugar Skulls often include flowers, dots, linear patterns, and other fun elements that can transfer beautifully into stitches on fabric. More information about the history and significance of this event is available at The Workspace, and we encourage you to look for celebrations around the world on November 1 & 2.
