Shuo Tang: We investigate the mixed-flavor mesons beginning with the unequal-mass heavy meson system, B_c, within the basis light-front (BLFQ) approach. Without adjusting any parameters, we find good agreement of the mass spectrum and decay constants of low-lying states with known experimental results and with other approaches. Based on these successes, we extend our model to heavy flavor - light flavor systems, such as B_s and B_u where we also obtain reasonable results.

Wenyang Qian: We extend the BLFQ framework to light meson systems and obtain reasonable agreement with available experimental results and with results from other approaches. Furthermore, inspired by the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model, an additional phenomenological pseudo-scalar contact interaction is proposed to simulate a more realistic pion-rho meson splitting.
