A representative from the Institute of International Education will attend to talk about the Boren scholarship, and information will be shared about other nationally competitive awards. This session will be repeated at noon today in the same location.

The Boren Award offers undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to study abroad and learn less commonly taught languages. After studying abroad, Boren winners are expected to work in qualifying national security positions in the U.S. federal government.

Strong applicants for the Boren Award (and other awards) come from diverse backgrounds and academic disciplines. Faculty and staff are asked to help identify these students and encourage them to apply.
