Prior to joining the KU faculty in 2007, DeYoung worked as an associate director of research at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, economic advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, and senior economist at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, U.S. Treasury.
